DEATH A RELEASE FROM SUFFERING FOR AGED WOMAN
Ill since last July death came as a relief from suffering for Mrs.
John Hackman(sic), for sixty years a resident of the county, at her
home at Manitowoc Rapids. The funeral service will be held tomorrow
noon at 12:30 from the home and at 2:30 from the Newtonburg Lutheran
church. The burial will be at the Newtonburg cemetery.
Mrs. Hackman was born in Germany seventy-one years ago and came to
Manitowoc county with her parents at the age of ten, the family
settling in the town of Liberty. Forty-three years ago she was married
to John Hackman. Besides her husband she is survived by five children,
Mrs. Herman Schuette, Centerville, Mrs. Herman Ewald, Cato, Mrs. Carl
Krause, Liberty, Emil Hackman, Manitowoc Rapids, and John Hackman,
Centerville. Two sisters, Mrs. Fredericka Pulse and Mrs. August Schefer
of this city, also survive her.
