Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the St. John Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, the Rev. Samuel Kugler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The former Maria Liermann was born Oct. 23, 1891, in the Town of Cato, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Liermann. On April 29, 1915??, she was married to Emil Hackmann and the couple farmed in Manitowoc County.
Survivors include the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Elroy Stauss of Rt. 3, Manitowoc; three sons, Reuben, Arnold and Kermit of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; two brothers, Fred and Helmuth Liermann, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Berge Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of service.
