Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 1, 1995, at 11
a.m. at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Rev.
Victor Headrick will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
She was born Febraury 12, 1915, in London, England, daughter of the
late Henry and Emma Smedmor Lahr. She was educated in England. During
World War II, she served with the Britsh A.T.C. She married Ruben
Hackmann, June 19, 1945, in London, England. The couple came to the
United States in 1946.
Survivors include her son and daughters-in-law, David and Carol Hackmann,
Greenfield, Wis.; a sister, Joan Rihm, Gatlinburg, Tenn.; four
grandchildren, Darrin, Andrew, Kay and Brian. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Ruben, in 1989.
Friends may call at the St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church from 3-7 p.m.
Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to the St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church or the WELS
Church Extension Fund.
The Jens Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
