Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 31st at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: 1 p.m. Monday at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton, Texas. Family visitation is 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Libby was born April 23, 1930 in Denton, Texas to Steve Henry and Cora (McDaniel) Watson. She married Edwin Strange on November 6, 1948 and was married 62 years at his death on November 11, 2010. Libby is also preceded in death by her son, Randy Strange, brothers, Seth and Milford Watson; sisters, Leota Conway and Gertrude Lowe.
Libby received an Associates Degree from the University of Texas in Austin. She was owner and administrator of Hearthstone Nursing Home from 1973 to 1992. Libby was a member of the Alvord Church of Christ.
Survived by daughter, Sandra Strange of Houston; two sons, Steve Strange of Alvord, Scott Strange and wife, Theresa of Fort Worth; two grandaughters, Alysia Hickman and Tiffany Saddler.
