Lucinda Jane Youker was born in Upper Canada (currently Ontario) to Phillip Youker and Patience Stanton Youker.


She was married in Rockford, Winnebago County, Illinois, on Nov. 8, 1866, to Daniel Mullen. Children born to them are Miles Gilbert, Lauren (Lon or Lou) Elmer, Nellie (Mary Ellen), Miran, Celestial (Lessie) Mae, Mildred (Millie) LaBertha., and Elizabeth Viola. Daniel and Lucinda came from Lower Canada and Upper Canada, respectively. They started their family in in Ogle County, Illinois, and travelled to Montgomery County, Iowa in 1875/1876, settling on a farm near Grant. Later they lived at Morton Mills just to the south and near Villisca both in Montgomery County, and last moving to Red Oak to make their home in 1911. She died of a stroke of apoplexy (cerebral hemorrhage).
