Anno Brouwer, 92, Edgerton, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at the Edgebrook Care Center, Edgerton.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 16 at First Christian Reformed Church, Edgerton.

Anno Brouwer was born to Wubbo and Tena (Christians) Brouwer on Sept. 27, 1911 in Wright County, Iowa. As a young boy, the family moved to Minnesota and Anno attended country school near Chandler.

On Dec. 5, 1937 he was united in marriage to Annie DeGroot. Following their marriage they resided and farmed near Edgerton. In 1962, Anno sold his farm and began working as a mechanic and bus driver in Edgerton.

After the death of Annie on Oct. 13, 1970, Anno continued to live and reside in Edgerton. On June 16, 1973 he was united in marriage to Agnes. They resided in their home in Edgerton until May 9, 2000 when they became residents at the Edgebrook Care Center.

Agnes preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2003.

Anno was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton.

He is survived by his five children, Wayne Brouwer; Darlene (John) Ruiter; Thelma (Stan) Scholten; Elaine (Merritt) Ulmer, all of Edgerton and Larry (Sandy) Brouwer, Sioux Center, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four step-children, Ken (Melanie) Le Brun, Stony Brook, N.Y.; Rick (Patrice) Le Brun, Springfield, Ore.; Carolyn (Jerry) Bushman, Concord, Calif.; Bill (Dort) Le Brun, Chanhassen; 11 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Westenberg, Tena Stiltner and Betty Blackmon.

He was preceded in death by his two wives, Annie and Agnes; one brother, Clarence Brouwer and one sister, Nancy Kleinjan.
