Cecil was one of six children born to Mr.Andrew J. Towery and Mary C.Towery He was a farmer prior to entering the U.S.Army during WWII.Upon his return he married Avle Mae Dodd/Poole/Horn,a mother of five children. They farmed untill the children sought lives of their own.He later worked as a night-watchman for Mattox Motor Co. of Aberdeen Ms,also ran a paper route delivering The Commercial Appeal Daily and Sunday editions, concurrent with the watchman job. He had No children of his own but was a good provider for the five step-children and their mother.
