He was a resident of Albion since 1948. He was an Army veteran during WWII. Formerly employed at McGraw Edison as a tool & die maker, then was a machine operator at Decker Manufacturing when he retired in October of 1988. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post#3672 of Albion, American Legion Post#55, Albion Elk's Lodge #1798, N.R.A. and the Sheridan Township Fire Department.
