DANT, RUTH A., 89, of Dunedin, FL, formerly of Louisville, passed away Friday, November 26, 2004, in Dunedin. She was a native of Alton, IN. She and her sisters ran the old Leonhardt's Restaurant of Shively. Her late husband, John P. Dant Jr. owned and operated the John P. Dant Distillery. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, John P. Dant III of Dunedin; three grandchildren, Jonathan Jude Dant and Mary Margaret Dant, both of Dunedin, and Mark Bartlett of Louisville; a great-grandchild, Kim Crimmins of Louisville; two nieces, Kelly Bratcher and Barbara Stone, both of Louisville; and a nephew, Tom Lynch of Louisville. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2004, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Dixie Hwy. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville.
