Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 8, at Carson's Funeral Home, Independence; burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington, MO . Visitation will be 12 noon-1 p.m. Monday to be followed immediately by the funeral service at the funeral home.

Viola was born October 16, 1903, in Clinton, MO , the daughter of Edith and Albert Anderson. She was married on April 8, 1923, to Thomas Harvey, who died March 16, 1957. She was married on October 12, 1971, to Charles Chapman, who died December 18, 1982. Viola was a resident of northeast Kansas City most of her life. She retired as supervisor after 44 years of employment with National Bellas Hess.
She was a member of the Children's Memorial Lutheran Church and the Linwood Golden Age Club. Survivors include a stepson, Robert Chapman; a stepdaughter, Patricia LaBranche; a sister-in-law, Arnett Anderson; two nieces, Evelyn Peck and Carol Abbott; three nephews, Lynne Anderson, Larry Anderson and Ronald Anderson; and nine grandchildren.
