Thomas R. Wheaton, 81, passed away Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Margaret Tripp of Corinth. He was born and lived all his life in Corinth.

The survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Seigel and Mrs. Joseph Lusk, of Scotia; Mrs. Tripp, of Corinth; two sons, Benjamin Wheaton, of Schenectady and Guy Wheaton, of Corinth; one sister, Mrs. William Brooks, of Gloversville; and 12 grandchildren.

Burial will be in the family plot in the Corinth Rural cemetery.

Thomas R. Wheaton, Corinthians were guilty of no indiscretion when they elected Thomas R. Wheaton to the office of constable, the duties of which he has faithfully performed since he took the oath of office. Constable Wheaton is employed as an oiler in the International Paper Company’s mill at Palmer Falls, in which village his home is pleasantly located.

Mr. Wheaton, who is fifty-three years of age, has been a resident of the town of Corinth all his live and has occupied his present homestead many years. Constable Wheaton has five children, three of whom have deserted the old homestead for Schenectady. They are Benjamin C. Wheaton, who is the proprietor of a store on State street, Schenectady; Miss Margaret Wheaton, who lives with him, and Mrs. J. J. Lusk.
