Charles William Imes was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Oct. 25, 2011, in Oklahoma City OK at the age of 64. He was born Jan. 5, 1947, in Checotah OK to Imogene and Norman Kerr Imes, Sr. A resident of the Oklahoma City area since 1962, Charles was an active member of the community. He worked as a Director of Information Technology for Chesapeake Energy for many years. He was also involved with the OBSE (Oklahoman's for Better Science Education) and the OCPAC (Oklahoma Conservative Political Action Committee) and served as co-pastor of New Covenant Bible Church.

On March 25, 1967, he married the love of his life, Rema Jean Bray; and together shared more than 44 years of marriage and raising a family. After a lengthy illness, Charles received a heart transplant in April 2009. The extended years gave Charles many precious memories. Charles was a loving husband, devoted father, and doting grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents;
nephew Jonathan Imes; granddaughter Lilly Imes.

Charles leaves behind his wife, Rema Jean Imes of the home; sons Brian Imes and wife Janie, and Jason Imes and wife Doni, all of Oklahoma City; brothers Dr. Norman K. Imes, Jr., and wife Bonnie of Nichols Hills OK, Allen Imes and wife JoAnn of Moore OK, and Mark Imes and wife Mavis of Midwest City OK; sisters Sharon Macha and husband Rich Monroe of Houston TX, Ellen Side and husband Ellie of San Antonio TX, Tabitha Cole and husband Ron of Oklahoma City, and Martha Pennel and husband Mike of Muskogee OK; and grandson Jonathan Charles Imes.
