From his obituary: Services for John Thomas McCloud who passed away last Friday morning in Toledo Hospital, were held on Monday afternoon in the Witzler Funeral Home. The Rev. Cecil D. Smith of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in Ft. Meigs Cemetery. M. McCloud has been employed for 22 years on the W. W. Knight estate. He had been seriously ill for several months and for the past frew weeks had returned to Toledo Hospital where death occurred. He was born Jan 16, 1886 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of William and Florence M. (Beared) McCloud. He was graduated from University of Arkansas, receiving a degree in engineering. He and Margaret Wiser were united in marriage June 18, 1929 and they were the parents of son Jack and daughter Alice. Mr. McCloud was a member of the Methodist Church, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Francis Moore Consistory of Marquette, Michigan and had been active in Boy Scout work serving as an advisor. Besides his immediate family he is survived by a brother Benjamin of St. Louis, Mo., sisters, Mrs. Mamie Myers, Mindon, La. and Etta Patton of Fort Worth, Texas.
