She was married to Millard 'Sid' Thomas on April 19, 1929 in Oklahoma City.

Allie graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1942 and taught 38 years in rural schools, including Cedar Canyon, Foss, Hopewell, and Harmany, before retiring in 1973 after teaching in Hydro.

She entered the Maple Lawn Manor Nursing Home in Hydro on August 20, 1990 and died there two years later.

Allie was preceeded in death by her husband Sid, her parents, and one grandson Mitch Thomas.

Survivors include one son William L. 'Bill' Thomas, two daughters Barbara Ann Duke, and Sidonna Faye Black; three brothers Cecil, Lester, and Dennis Talkington; one sister Nina Faye Kilgore; five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Hydro First Baptist Church with the Rev. Perry Walker, pastor, and the Rev. Ozzie Byrun, a retired Baptist minister also officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.
