THOMAS A. KEMP DIED ON FRIDAY:***Native Callawegian Succumbed After Extended Illness-Funeral Sunday:** Thomas A. Kemp, 70 years old, a native Callawegian and life-long resident of this county, died at 3:30 o'clock on Friday morning after an extended illness. He had been in failing health for a year and a half.** A funeral service was conducted at Millers Creek Methodist Church, west of Fulton, at 11:00 o'clock Sunday morning, by the Reverend Frank L. Sechrist and burial was in the cemetery there.** Mr. Kemp was a son of George Thomas and Mary E. Kemp, pioneer residents of Callaway County. He was born December 26, 1860, on the farm, eight miles west of Fulton, where he had lived all his life, except eight years he spent outside the county when a young man.** Mr. Kemp was married February 4, 1884, to Miss Fannie D. Rosson, of Howard County, who with two daughters and one son, survives. The children are: Mrs. Paul Griggs of FUlton, Mrs. Will Vaughn west of Fulton and Robert Kemp of Columbia. One brother, Noah P. Kemp lives at Kinston, North Carolina and he has three sisters, Mrs. Hugh Sampson of Fulton, Mrs. Lee Donohew of Mexico and Mrs. John Sneed, address unknown.** Mr. Kemp was a member of Millers Creek Church and a member of the Woodmen and Royal Neighbors.
