Funeral services for Oscar Alvin Bergner, 91, were conducted at Catron Chapel Thursday, with Rev. Ronald Kindem of the American Lutheran Church officiating. Pallbearers were Dr. John B.Simons, Sam Frederick, Robert Haines. Nels Johnson, Cal Bonner and Victor Grey. Burial was in Whitefish Cemetery. Oscar Alvin Bergner was born April 8, 1865, in Germany. At the age of 3 years, he came to the United States. He was reared in Wisconsin and later moved to Minnesota. Mr. Bergner came to Whitefish from Great Falls in 1926 and was employed by Great Northern Railway as a dispatcher until his retirement in 1937. Mr. Bergner was the manager of the Radium Hotel in Whitefish for a number of years. His wife preceded him in death on Sept. 8, 1947. In 1950, he moved to Boise, Idaho, where made his home with his nephew, Hilmer Wolfgram. Mr. Bergner died at the Boise hospital on Dec. 17.He is survived by his nephew, Hilmer Wolfgram of Boise, Idaho and one niece, Mrs. John Gonnering of Argyle, Minn.
