Richard & wife, Margaret, lived in many different places during his ministry for the Tennessee Conference (Methodist); they returned to Lewis County, where he died of stomach cancer. The funeral director was Middle Tennessee Funeral Home, Waynesboro, TN, (now Shackleford), the same one who handled the burial of his son, Clarence. (per death certificate).
Richard was tall, medium build, with blue eyes and brown hair. (per WW 1 Draft Reg.).
