Forbus, J. Bernard age 84, of Talladega died August 6, 1995. At the time of his retirement, he was Superintendent of Bemis Company, Inc. He was a long-time deacon of the First Baptist Church. A charter member of the Talladega Rotary Club, he was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. A member of Gideons International, he was active in its Talladega Prison Ministry for 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Olive Pearl Carpenter Forbus; his daughters, Feriel Feldman-Johnson of Atlanta and Angela F. Pruitt of Birmingham; his sons-in-law, Charles O. Johnson and Dr. Kenneth M. Pruitt; his grandchildren, Amber J. Feldman, Ellis P. Mayor, Corinne P. Cargnoni, Torri P. Chappell, and Keith L. Pruitt; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 9, at 10:00a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Talladega. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to The Southern Baptist Home Mission Board, Lebanon Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37214.
