Anna M. Donahue was born Feb 23, 1882 in Creighton, Knox Co., Nebraska, the daughter of Thomas William and Anna Kealy Donahue.
Thomas William Donohue was the Uncle of my Grandfather, Michael Joseph Darcy. Patrick Joseph Donahue's wife Anna M. (Donahue) Donahue was Michael Joseph Darcy 1st Cousin. Patrick Joseph Donohue was not related to my grandfather Darcy.
Anna married Patrick Joseph Donohue (similiar spelling, no relation) on Oct 30, 1907 in Creighton, Nebraska. Patrick Joseph had moved to Bonesteel in 1904 and they made their home in Bonesteel, SD.
Anna M. Donohue and P.J. Donohue were Aunt Lucille Darcy Truax's godparents, when Lucille was baptised. Anna's husband (Patrick Joseph Donohue) was not a biological relative of Grandpa Darcy.
Patrick Joseph was originally a young man working on his family farm, from there he was a school teacher from O'Neill. He then graduated from UNL Law School in 1903. It was at this time that Patrick Joseph O'Donohue dropped the O from his name and he became Patrick Joseph Donohue. He practiced law in Spencer, NE until 1904 when he moved to Bonesteel, SD. After Patricks death in 1940 Anna moved to Sioux City, to be near her children in 1952. She died on Aug 12, 1973 in Sioux City, Woodbury Co., Iowa.
