From his obituary:
Freeman Hausch, 91 year old, retired carpenter and building contractor, died Friday at the home of his niece and her husband John Pierce, since last year when his wife, the former Margaret Schrock died.

Born in Trumbull county Dec. 31, 1851, Mr. Hausch was the second of 11 children of Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Hausch, all of whom preceded him in death. He was married in 1876 to Mahala Davis, who died in 1924. Four years later he was married again to the former Miss Margaret Schrock.

He had attended Trumbull schools, later enrolling in Austinburg academy. Still later he attended Perry High School. Mr. Hausch had lived most of his life in and around Madison and Perry with the exception of about 12 years he spent in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Mr. Hausch was associated for many years as a contractor with the late Grant S. Penhollow of Perry, and many buildings still stay in Perry that had been built by them. One monument to his skill is the pavilion at Perry Park. He also built the Church of Christ at Zephyrhills. But, on account of failing eyesight, he retired from active business, and since that time had lived largely in Madison.

At a very early age Mr. Hausch became deeply interested in religion, as evidenced by the fact that he became a member of the Disciple church at East Thompson when he was 14. He served as elder in churches at Trumbull, Zephyrhills and Perry over a period of 50 years, and for the last 70 years it had been his boast that he never was without a pocket testament which he carried with him constantly.

Musically inclined, he sang for many years with the church choir here, and was a member of a male choir with his brothers, the late Dr. O. O. Hausch of Painesville and Earl Hausch and his brother-in-law Charles Keener.

His only venture into public life was when he served as public assessor in Trumbull for five years.

He is the son of Jacob Hausch by his wife Lois Eletharp, daughter of Truman and Nancy (Bowen) Curtis.

His sister Flora Lois Hausch was married to Grant Penhollow.

(The Perry Pavilion is no longer standing on the shores of Lake Erie. It was destroyed when the lake eroded and it fell into the lake)
