He was a farmer-rancher and member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude, in July 1991.
Survivor include three sons and daughters-in-law all of Mount Pleasant, one daughter of Longview, 14 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
