Mechanic. Eldest son of E. (Eber) Porter Smith (1845-1921) and Mary P. Graves Smith (1854-1925). Husband of Laura Nelson; married in 1904; father of Leonard E. Smith (1906-1984). Member of the Odd Fellows lodge and of the Yeoman. Worked as a mechanic for the Denver and Interurban Railroad Company. Died of pneumonia following a bout with influenza.
