Funeral services for Dr. Jo M. Bevington, age 88, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville with Rev. Dr. Darin Wood, Rev. Kelvin Reed, Rev. Steve Edwards and Kenny Knous officiating.
Burial will be held at Jarratt Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Dr. Bevington passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 in Jacksonville.
She was born November 13, 1922 in Jacksonville, TX


Dr. Bevington was a member of Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville, wrote Sunday School pre-school curriculum for Lifeway Christian Resources and taught at three Baptist Seminaries.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert J. "Bob" Bevington, parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include sister-in-law Hazel Morton of Jacksonville; a host of nieces and nephews; and several close friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Memorials in memory of Dr. Bevington may be made to Central Baptist Church Children and Pre-school Ministries P. O. Box 1647 Jacksonville, TX. 75766.
