Allen Ted Baer, 60, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at his residence in Indianapolis.
He was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Aurora. His parents were Raymond "Pop" and Minnie (Ahren) Baer. He married M. Teresa (DuBois) Baer on Oct. 22, 1988. She survives. Other survivors include his former wife, Rosemary (Livingston) Baer; four sons, Jeff Baer, Randy Baer, Josh Kreuzman and Mike Fields; four daughters, Sue Ogden Baer, Crystal Landis Baer, Maggie (Kreuzman) Fields and Hope Kreuzman; a sister, Rosemary (Baer) Kurita; four brothers, Dutch, Bob, Jim and Vic Baer; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a niece, Tina Baer, in 1996.
He was employed by Procter and Gamble for 15 years and BP Oil for 12 years and was a training technician at Eli Lilly and Co. since 2000.
He was a member of Indiana Historical Society.
He enjoyed softball, volleyball, hiking, canoeing and playing cards.
A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Aurora.
