When Lottie Bell Nesbitt was born on March 4, 1905, in Arkansas, her father, George David Nesbit, was 34, and her mother, Martha "Della" Delmer Pearce, was 24. She had six brothers and two sisters. She died on November 14, 1990, in Hardin, Texas, at the age of 85, and was buried in Silsbee, Texas.

In 1910 the family lived in Jasper County, TX, her father worked in the logging camps and saw mills.

On Jan. 16, 1920, she lived with her family in Justice Precinct 5, Jasper Co., TX: NESBIT,
Geo D 49 b TN/IRE/NY Farmer;
Delmar 39 b AL,
Edgar 17 b AR,
Lottie 13 AR,
Earnest 12 AR,
Dollie 5 b TX,
Sylvester 8 b TX,
Mary 2 b TX;
her youngest brother, James would be born the following year.

Her father George David passed away on December 31, 1926, in Jasper, Texas, at the age of 56. Her mother would soon follow within the year, on November 4, 1929 in Jasper, Texas at the age of 48.

Her two oldest brothers Edgar and Earnest were out of the home with families of their own. Earnest would die in 1932 leaving a wife and child.

With the passing of their parents, Lottie, being the oldest, took charge of the family as seen in the April 26, 1930, Census:
Kirbyville, Precinct 3, Jasper County, TX, Lottie was head of household, the census entry reads "Nina 25 single b OK" (has to be Lottie Bell b 1905); Vester 18 works in saw mill; Louise 14, Molly 12, James 8.

Lottie never had children and outlived all her brothers and sisters, she passed on Nov. 14, 1990, in Hardin, Liberty Co., TX, the last to go. She had the love of many because of the love she extended to her family; especially when she was 25, caring for her siblings on the death of their parents.
