Willard Chester Cummings, 91, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Interment: 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Willard was a member of The Hills Church of Christ (formerly Richland Hills Church of Christ) for 43 years. He was active in volunteer work at Christian Care Center and achieved the McBroom Award for most hours worked. Willard served three years in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired after 38 years' service with Sherwin-Williams Automotive Paint Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fate and Myrtle Cummings; sister, Mozelle Watts; two brothers, Ray and Truman Cummings; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Survivors: Wife of 68 years, Peggy; daughter, Rita Weatherly and husband, Mike; son, Gerald Cummings and wife, Jacque; four granddaughters; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and brother, Dean Cummings.
