CARL WILDE, 79, DIES AT HOME
Broken Hip Caused By Fall Brought About Death


Carl Wilde, 79, Route 4, Town of Rapids, passed away at his home Monday noon. Death followed complications brought about by a broken hip, which he suffered in an accident four weeks ago. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:15 from the home and at two o'clock from the Newtonburg church, the Rev. Kionka officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

The deceased was born July 15, 1854, in Germany. At the age of 2 years, he came to America with his parents and settled in the Town of Newton. He later moved into the Town of Rapids, where he operated a farm. On November 24, 1881, he married Marie Fischer, who survives him. A daughter, Mrs. Hulda Hiller, preceded him in death two years ago.

Besides his widow, the deceased is survived by a son Louis at home; three sisters, Mrs. Augusta Wolter of Mishicot, Mrs. John Carlson of Birnamwood, and Mrs. Carl Ridderbush of Wausau; two brothers, Frederick of Green Bay and Henry of Newton; and five grandchildren.

The body will be removed to the home Tuesday from the Pfeffer funeral home.
