Info provided by contributer Rose Mohnsam:

Eustachius was a farmer. He came from Baden, and entered the US via New York in Oct. of 1854. In 1889 he retired from farming and moved to a house east of St. Nazianz. On April 18, 1889 he purchased the half acre lot at 16804 County C and had a house built. Both he and his wife Marcella lived in this house until their deaths: Marcella in 1899 and Eustachius in 1904. Eustachius died from what was once called "Bright's disease" and "dropsy" (probably kidney failure and a stroke).

Additional info provided by Judy Rousch Bradley:

I believe that Eustactius Vetter arrived in the USA with the first group of the renowned Father Ambrose Oschwald Colony St. Nazianz in Aug 1854, rather than Oct 1854.
As I understand the Vetter family history with other Vetter relatives, after some weeks the Vetter family waited in Milwaukee August until October for some of the St. Nazianz forest land to be cleared and shelters built. Eustachius moved his family to the St. Nazianz colony in October 1854 from Milwaukee.
Eustachius and Marcella Vetter are also spelled as Wetter. They are listed as #36 and #37 immigrants in the blue St. Nazianz 1854-1954 booklette if you have seen that on page 23.
