ABINGDON -- Verda Dahler, 94, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 1993, at the Care Center of Abingdon. Born Feb. 11, 1899, in Knox County to Charles and Verna Dawdy Cline, she married Charles M. Dahler. He died in 1961. Surviving are two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was an Abingdon resident most of her life. She was a school teacher for many years and a member of Abingdon Christian Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Abingdon Cemetery. The Rev. Raymond McClaren will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to her church.
