Mrs. Mary MacKordes, widow of Louis MacKordes, died at 1 o'clock Wednesday morning at the residence of her niece, Mr. W.A. Phares, 493 North Mercer street. She was sixty-four years old. Her death was caused by paresis. She was well known among the older residents of Decatur. Her husband was cutter for the Race clothing company many years ago. She lived in Decatur all her life until about twenty nine years ago, when with her husband, moved to San Francisco. He died there about a year ago and Mrs. MacKordes returned to Decatur last August and has since made her home with her niece. She is survived by two sons, Charles MacKordes of Los Angeles, Calif., and George MacKordes, whose present address is unknown. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Sarah Stabler of Columbus, O., three sisters, Mrs. Frederick Bell of Columbus, O., Mrs. John Schuerle and Mrs. Barbara McCune and one brother, John Stabler, all of Decatur. The body was removed to the Monson & Wilcox undertaking establishment and prepared for burial and there the funeral will be held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Interment will be in Greenwood.
