Mrs. Mays was born July 20, 1911, in Alleghany County, to James Henry and Ruth Ann Wilson Craft.
In addition to her husband, William Basil Mays, Mrs. Mays was preceded in death by an infant son, James Ellis Mays; six brothers; and five sisters. Mrs. Mays is survived by a son, Carroll Grey Mays.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the service should assemble 10 a.m. at Loving Funeral Home, Covington.
