Pvt. Edward S. Ball was musician during the Civil War. He served in Co. B 88th Regiment, Pa. Volunteers. Service was from September 12, 1861 to September 12, 1864 when he mustered out at expiration of his term. His regiment served in the Battles of Gettysburg, Bull Run, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Petersburg, and others.
