Ivan graduated from North East High School in 1943. Serving as a surgical technician with the U.S. Army during World War II, he was assigned duty throughout the European Theater. He worked as a technician with General Electric Co., retiring in 1986 after 39 years. A ham radio operator, he was a member of the QCWA Radio Club, the American Radio Relay League and the Old Timers Wireless Communications Club. He was also a member of American Legion Post 105 in North East.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harry Dennee.
Survivors include his wife, Julia E. Selkregg Wilkinson, whom he married Aug. 7, 1948; two daughters, Jane Cleary of Louisville, Ky., and Gail R. Cady of North East; a brother, H. Elwood Wilkinson and his wife, Joan, of New Bern, N.C.; three grandchildren; an uncle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will be at North East Cemetery.
