The Grand-son of late Charles Pettigrew and Winnie Dowdy Meekins and the brother of the late Norman Earl Brantley of Manteo, NC.
His wife Hilda Midgett Brantley, a native of Dare County, NC and resident of Houma, LA passed away Jan. 1, 2009.
He was also preceded in death my one son, Claude W Brantley, Jr in 1969.
He leaves one daughter, Claudia Leger of Houma, LA.
He is body is at rest in the Westlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Gretna, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
