Frances Gilliam and her husband had been affiliated with the Hinsdale Livestock Co. since 1950. She loved gardening, antiques and collectibles and enjoyed people.

Mrs. Gilliam, 69, died Friday at the Valley Nursing Home of natural causes.

She was born in Hinsdale, a daughter of Frank and Agnes Jones.

She was raised in the Hinsdale area and married Frank Gilliam Nov. 24, 1938, in Franklin, Ind. They lived in Indiana for eight years before returning to the Hinsdale area in 1943. Mr. Gilliam died Dec. 26, 1976.

She was a member of the Hinsdale Methodist Church and Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Frank Jr. of Manassas, VA., and Darrell of Billings; a daughter, Claudette Evans of Torrence, Calif; three brothers, Harvey and Frank Jones, both of Hinsdale and Thomas Jones of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six sisters, Rene Lock and Marge Bordwell, both of Billings, Ramona Nash of Laurel; Donna Jones of Yakima Wash., Nellie Greer of Fenton, Ill., and Blanche Deadrick of Colorado Springs, Colo., and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hillview Cemetery in Hinsdale. Bell Mortuary is in charge.
