A. W. Dyal Dies At Seattle--Former Local Resident Succumbs At Age of 66 Years At Home In West--Word came Wednesday announcing the death of A. W. Dyal, a former local man who passed away at his home in Seattle, Washington Tuesday after an illness of about seven months. Brights disease was given as the cause of death. The body was shipped to this city and funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Raglesville M. E. Church. Artemus Ward Dyal was born in this community December 25th, 1862. He was the son of Dr. Evans C. Dyal and Mary (Bair) Dyal and was past 66 years of age at the time of his death. On March 18, 1889 he was united in marriage to Minnie Armstrong and from this union eleven children survive. These are Mrs. Geo. Patterson of Indianapolis; Earl Dyal of Dysart, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Sprangle [Sprankle] of Detroit; Luther Dyal of Seattle; Artie Dyal of Denton, Iowa; Roland Dyal of Raglesville; Mrs. Dimple Agard [Alvord] of Seattle; Mrs. Mary Smith of Sandiago [San Diego?]; Miss Lillian Dyal, Miss Elizabeth Dyal, and Robert Dyal of Seattle. Besides the children and the widow, he also leaves two brothers and two sisters as follows: Parmer and E. C. Dyal of this community, Mrs. Hattie Coleman of Indianapolis and Mrs. Sallie Cosey [Casey] of Linton. Mr. Dyal was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He moved to the west a number of years ago and has resided in Washington state since leaving this community.
