Leon F. Stewart, 59, of Crystal Springs, died at the Veterans Hospital in Jackson Sunday morning. He was a native of Choctaw county, Alabama, but had been a resident of Crystal Springs for 15 years. He was a veteran of World War I, a retired farmer, and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Leon F. Stewart, Jr.. Crystal Springs: one daughter, Donnis Stewart, Crystal Springs; one step-son, James A. Broadwater, with the Army in Germany; two step-daughters, Mrs. Alice Mcintosh, Houma. La., Miss Marie Broadwater, Crystal Springs; one brother, James N. Stewart. Fayette; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Watson, Crystal Springs, Mrs. Ocie Lee Danforth, Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral services were held at Baldwin Brothers Chapel Tuesday at 10 a. m. interment was in the National Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS.
