Walter Miller, 93, stepfather of Roxbury man
Walter L. Miller, 93, of East Hill Woods, Southbury, died Feb. 25 at East Hill Woods Health Center. He was the husband of Estelle (Marches) Miller and widower of Margaretha (Kisselbrach) Miller.
Mr. Miller was born June 2, 1908, in Trivoli, N.Y., son of the late William H. and Susie (Kisselbrach) Miller.
He received an engineering degree from St. Stephen�s College at Columbia University, N.Y. He was a retired chemical engineer and worked at the Brooklyn Naval Yard.
He was a 32nd degree mason, a member of King Solomon�s Masonic Lodge No. 7, A.F. & A.M. of Woodbury, and a member of St. Paul�s Episcopal Church in Woodbury.
Mr. Miller enjoyed playing the piano.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Walter Jr. of Bethany; two stepsons, Paul Marches of Roxbury and Vinny Zavorskas of Cape Cod; two daughters, Missy Payne of Sparks, Nev., and Fern of Lodi, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere was in charge of arrangements.
