Franklin C. Meitner, 74, Marshfield Living Center, died at 5:09 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph r Hospital, where he had been admitted earlier in the day. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. Wendell Springer of the Marshfield Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate. Pat Dalton will be the organist for Sandra Johnson, soloist Pallbearers will be son-in-laws and nephew. Visitation will be at the Hansen Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and again on Tuesday until time of services. He was born May 26, 1914, In the town of Richfield, to Frank and Christina Meitner. He attended the Maple Grove School in the town of Richfield. His first marriage was to Dorothy Hazelton Dec. 29, 1935. They are now divorced. His second marriage was to Beatrice Perryat Jan. 7, 1952, in Pittsville. They were later divorced. He farmed in the town of Hansen for many years. He then worked as a blacksmith in Arpin for 18 years, and later in the town of Richfield. He also worked at Weyerhaeuser Co. and Wausau Iron Works until his retirement. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Leon (Delores) Johnson of Arpin, Mrs. Daniel (Bernice) Rueden of Marshfield, and Mrs. Larry (Belle) Oertel of Rudolph; two sons, Francis of Arpin, and Brian of Auburndale; four sisters, Mrs. Rosella Zarcharias, and Mrs. Christie Steltenpohl, both of Marshfield, Mrs. Maynard (Irene) Omernick of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Lola Gagas of Stevens Point; one brother, George of Shawano; 16 grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, and three sons.
