Charles was a PFC 36th Bomb Sqdn.
Hi, I just found his death certificate and he died as a result of the B17 bomber crashing near Wells, Nevada, and he sustained multiple injuries and fatal burns over his body caused by the impact of the crash. Several other serviceman also died in that crash.
