Margaret Rita Eells of Brigantine, N.J.

Margaret Rita Eells, 90, of Brigantine, N.J., formerly of Philadelphia and Downingtown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 2, 2011. Margaret was the daughter of William H. and Rose Mary (nee Brichetto) Eells and was predeceased by all of her nine siblings and four nephews. Born on January 16, 1921 in Philadelphia, Miss Eells worked for the Globe Ticket Company in Philadelphia for 29 years. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's University with a BS in sociology in 1978. She then worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Public Assistance as a social worker until her retirement in 1985. Margaret Rita Eells is survived by 12 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Margaret Rita Eells at 11 a.m. Monday, November 7, at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, Del. Relatives and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. at the church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Pa., following Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in her name be made to: Seashore Gardens Living Center, 44 West Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway Township, Absecon, NJ 08201. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, Atlantic City, N.J.
