Born in Chicago, Mr. Doyle served mostly in south side districts.
He was elected president of the Chicago Police Captains association in 1944.
He received numerous citations for meritorious work.Surviving are his widow,Edna M.;
a son, William J., and two grandchildren.Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday
in St. Philip Neri Catholic church, 2132 E. 72d st.
