FORT WORTH - Jack Bishop, a retired history and mechanical drawing teacher with the Fort Worth schools, died of congestive heart failure Monday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 81.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Bishop was born in Cumby.

He had lived in Fort Worth since 1951.

He retired after teaching in the Fort Worth school system for 25 years.

He taught at North Side High School and Western Hills High School. He was a member of River Oaks Baptist Church, Hopkins Masonic Lodge 80, the chapter, council and commandery, and North Fort Worth Chapter 684, OES.

Mr. Bishop was a lifetime member of the PTA. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or a favorite charity.

Survivors: Wife, Lola Mae Bishop of Fort Worth; son, Joe Bishop of Richardson; brother, Earle Bishop of Richardson; and two granddaughters.
