Feb 7,1923, in Titusville to Lloyd A and Nanea Kunz Hopkins. She married
Robert C Johnson on June 16,1951, in Erie. He survives. She attended Red Oak School and was graduated from Spartansburg High School in 1940. She also attended Erie Business College. Mrs. Johnson formerly was employed by General Electric in Erie for nine years as a secretary and also with Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp for a couple of years. She was a member of the former Hometown United Presbyterian Church and a current member of Titusville First Presbyterian Church. At Rometown, she served as a Sunday school teacher and Elder and Clerk of the Session. She also was a member of the Rometown Ladies Missionary Society, through which she supported many missionaries during her life. Mrs. Johnson was a former Rome Township auditor and Judge of Elections. Survivors include her husband of Centerville; a daughter and her husband; a son; three grandchildren; two brothers, R "Wayne" Hopkins and his wife, Dorothy, and Lee A Hopkins and his wife, Esther, of Spartansburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garett Funeral Home, Titusville, and attend the funeral service at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 11 am, with her son-in-law, the Rev Dr Barry E Cressman, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg.
