Roger D. Sutton, 54 of Mt. Carmel, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on April 11, 1957 in Mt. Carmel, IL, the son of Joseph M. and Margaret (Jackson) Sutton. Roger was a member of the Eagles and VFW. He loved fishing, arrowhead hunting and the river. He also served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Sutton Garrett and step-father, John Garrett of Albion, IL; brothers, Joseph (Glenda) Sutton of Mt. Carmel, Christopher Sutton of Albion, IL and Tracy Sutton of Mt. Carmel; step-mother, Kim Sutton of Owensville, IN; step-sister, Holly Cowling of Mt. Carmel; sisters-in-law, Nickie Sutton and Debbie Garrett both of Mt. Carmel; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father, Joseph Sutton; brother, Russell Sutton; step-brother, Randy Garrett and step-sister, Brandi Boes.
Funeral services was at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the chapel of Short Funeral Home with burial at Graceland Cemetery, Albion, IL.
Visitation was 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Short Funeral Home, Mt. Carmel.
