Anna Bloch Kichler, 84, a native and lifelong resident of Elberta, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.
Anna was a homemaker who enjoyed baking German pastries and farming with her husband. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Baldwin County Cattlewomen Association, the Lutheran Women Missionary League and the Alabama Sweet Potato Association.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Fred H. Kichler; three daughters, Diane (Rip) Christensen, Dorothy (Jimmie) Hemmert and Nancy (Johnny) Johnson; one son, Leonard (Susan) Kichler; nine grandchildren, Shannon C. Gunderson, Karen C. Adams, Elisa H. Seibert, Nicholas Hemmert, Katie Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, Rachel K. Smith, Wayne Kichler and Sarah Kichler; four great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hartley Gunderson, Freddie and Lucy Seibert.
The family would like to thank the caregivers, Nechole Joiner, Barbara Shoots, Vivian Williams, Whakia Bodiford and Sara Dennis for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Elberta on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. The family will receive family and friends an hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Elberta Community Cemetery.
