Margaret Wood Champion, age 81, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away May 25, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert R. Champion, Sr.; parents, Evey Elbert Wood and Lois Dunaway Wood Spigner; sister, Betty Lou Broadhead and brother-in-law, Albert Champion.
She is survived by her sons, Hubert Ray (Kathy) Champion, Jr. of Jones, AL and Richard "Rick" (Wanda) Champion of Valley Grande, AL; grandchildren, Randy Champion, Hubert Ray (Candy) Champion, III, Paul (Amy) Champion, Brian Champion, Christopher (Megan) Champion, Ashley Champion and her fiancé, Ben Smitherman and Cliff (Candance) Miller; brothers-in-law, D. C. (Clara) Champion of Headland, AL and Charles Broadhead of Selma, AL and sisters-in-law, Helen Myers of Pensacola, FL and Harriet Sobera of Selma, AL; a number of great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Jean McIntyre and Helen Nichols.
