Russell V. Young, Star Route, Timblin, was found dead in his home near Ringgold Sunday evening, September 30,1978,of an apparent heart attack suffered late Saturday afternoon. He was 84.

Mr. Young was born January 14,1894 in Ringgold Township,
the son of James Franklin & Elsie Jane Caylor Young. He was married October 10,1911 to the former Vista Viola Minich, who preceded him in death July 28,1976.

A native of Ringgold Township, he had lived in the Ringgold area all of his life.
A retired Farmer and Orchardist. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Punxsutawney Ward; the North Freedom Grange, was for many years the Secretary of the Ringgold Township School Board and was affiliated with many other Ringgold area educational organizations.

Survivors include four daughters and three sons:
Mrs. Leland (Grace) Milliron, Pahokee, Fla.;
Mrs. Lucille Brocious, American Fork, Utah;
Mrs. E. Kent (Josephine) Baggs, Ogden Utah;
Mrs. Max (Helen) Harper, Lindon, Utah;
Clair, of Burkburnett Texas;
William, RD 4 Punx`y;
Lewis Young, Warren, Ohio.
One sister, Mrs. Pearl Milliron, RD 4, Punx`y;
one half brother, C.C. Young, RD 2 Mayport and
six half sisters also survive:
Vera Walker, Kittanning; Wretha Anderson, Albion;
Mrs. Ray (Millie) Miller,of Sarver;
Bernice Young, Detroit Michigan;
Mrs. Anna Gunnels, Olean, NY and
Mrs. Earl (Mary) Anderson.
Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and
24 great-grandchildren

Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, where services will be held Thursday with Bishop Jan G. Humphreys officiating.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Ringgold Cemetery.
