Plymouth—Mrs. Melissa Wilson Chaplin died Wednesday at the family residence on East Main Street, after a long illness. Mrs. Chaplin was born on April 16, 1844, in western New York, and came with her parents to Wisconsin in 1851. She is a daughter of the late Ara and Wealthy Wilson. On October 8, 1861, she was united in marriage to William Chaplin, who died twelve years ago.
She is survived by two son, H. A. Chaplin of Plymouth, and G. W. Chaplin of Hartford and one daughter, Mrs. Ella Ames of Plymouth; one brothers, R. R. Wilson of Plymouth, ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. One son, R. H. Chaplin, died three years ago at Chekalis, Washington.
