WHITWORTH -- Robert L. "Bob", 90, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2003 in Tulsa, OK. Born April 8, 1913 in Tulsa, OK to Charles and Bertha Whitworth. He was a 1931 graduate of Central High School and graduate of Tulsa University in the mid 30's with a degree in Music. He was a WW2 U.S. Air Force Veteran and played in the Air Force Band at Hickam Field in Hawaii and also in Amarillo, TX. He was a school Teacher in Pryor and other schools. He worked for over 50 years as a Salesman for Jenkins Music Company, later known as Saied Music Company. He was also employed as a Salesman at Triangle Blue Print Company. Member of East Side Christian Church. Preceded in death by his first wife, Goldie Homesley and his second wife, Virginia. Bob is survived by a host of neighbors and friends. Service will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2003 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. There will be a private family interment. Contributions may be made to Phi MuAlpha National Music Fraternity at the University of Tulsa or your favorite charity. Moore's Southlawn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
